SCHOOL HISTORY
Amarvani School is one of the private, non-aided, minority educational institutions in Angul dedicated to the service of fostering intellectual and personal development in the young learners and grooming them to be committed and competent individuals.
The school was established in 1993.It was recognized by the Govt.of Odisha in 1999, memo no.6036 dated 12.03.99 and is affiliated to the I.C.S.E.Board, New Delhi in August 2001(OR-070/2001).It is managed by the sisters belonging to the Congregation of Missionary Sisters, Servants of the Holy Spirit (SSpS), an international organization of the Catholic church, well known for its engagement in education and human solidarity.
This organization was founded by SAINT ARNOLD JANSSEN, a German Catholic Priest on 8th December 1889 in Steyl, Holland.
Amarvani School is a Catholic School which caters education to students belonging to different linguistic, religious and social groups.The school exempts non catholic students from participation in exercises pertaining to catholics.The right and duty of each non catholic student to follow privately the dictates of his/her conscience in his/her religion’s belief is carefully respected.
The school celebrates three important days
- December 8th – Foundation day of the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit
- January 15th -Arnold Janssen’s Day
- March 25th – Amarvani Day
